Surfing

Santa Catalina is one of the best places in Central America to surf and definitely the best wave in panama. Called "la Punta" or "the Point", the main break is a world class right with long rides and different sections that are good not only for tube riding but allow all kinds of maneuvers as well. this same wave also has a left that is not as long as the right. This wave is very consistent and is good from 2 to 20 feet . As it is a wave that breaks over a rocky bottom and has good power it is more suitable for intermediate to advanced surfers.
